My, my.  Things have been busy lately.  Update for 5/11/2012… 2 new listings, 1 under contract, 2 price drops, & 1 returning listing.

All the homes in this article are currently for sale within East Bethesda. The top of the list features the newest listings, while the bottom showcases those that have been on the market for quite some time. I’ll be updating this post every Friday, so be sure to check back to see what’s new, what’s gone, & what might be coming (and check out the date up top… if it’s not current, neither is this information!). I’ve lived in East Bethesda for over 17 years. I’ve sold real estate in East Bethesda for over 12 years. It’s a wonderful neighborhood within walking distance of two metro stops AND downtown Bethesda. While all of this information is available to you on the various search engines, I’ve taken the time to inject my opinion on the condition, pricing, and likelihood of each property selling… or not. 4BR/3.5BA colonial on a large lot (9,119 s.f.).  Just hit the market moments ago, so I haven’t seen it.  No photos, either.  However, it is said to have a lovely addition, granite counters, breakfast bar and family room.  Days on Market:

This one was on the market a few years back.   Updated kitchen with pretty cabinets and granite, opening to a nice, sunny family room. 3BR/1FB on the 2nd level. Another full bath in the finished lower level.  Yard is level and surprisingly spacious, despite smaller lot. Deck. Days on Market: 1[space]

6BR/4.5BA newish construction (2006). 4,800 s.f. lot. Looks to be in lovely, move-in condition. Pretty kitchen with tan granite and white cabinets. Master bedroom closet to die for. Just a couple of blocks from Lynbrook Park. Days on Market: 7[space]

Not sure why this one is back on the market. It just sold in December ’11. That said, it’s a lovely house with 5BR/3.5BA. Vaulted ceiling in the family room, wooden floors, open kitchen. 2 fireplaces. Detached garage. Pretty front porch and a back deck. 1.5 blocks to Wisconsin. Luscious landscaping. Days on Market: 14[space]

This one came and went, and is back on the market. Interestingly enough, it started out at $595K and once under contract the price changed to $695K. It’s now back on at $649K, $629K, $599K. The house is old, dated and is in need of a face lift. Days on Market: 16

Handsome bungalow with a lovely front porch, inviting living room with a fireplace, good looking hardwood floors and a glorious garden. Sits on a double lot, not that this does anyone much good, minus the builders. Large, almost separate 2-level addition in the back of the house – connected at the kitchen. Adds value to the property, but isn’t easily incorporated into the rest of the house. Buyer specific. Days on Market: 29

Nope, this you’re not seeing double. Two townhomes are available and they are next door to each other. The only difference is a mere 3 feet and an extra full bath (this unit is “larger” and more bathy). 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 half baths, and 4 levels. 1-car garage. Refinished floors and a hot tub. Days on Market: 29

Strange little price tag on this puppy. I always wonder why they do that? Superstition? Lucky number? Who knows. New construction, which has yet to start. 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. Multiple floor plans available.

Back on the market with a new low price.  2BR/2FB Cape on a 6,371 s.f. lot. 1-car garage. Updated kitchen.  Built in 1938.  Days on Market: 196
