Finding the perfect house just got a little easier. Or maybe I should say “remembering stuff about your perfect house just got a little easier.” As a real estate agent I see a lot of houses. Sometimes my recall is spot on (when I’m in my idiot savant mode), but often I get that deer in the headlights look when asked to recall specifics of a property. It’s a trait I’m sure I share with a lot of people looking for a house. So… someone got smart and finally designed an app specifically to help you remember your most recent house tour (or even the one that took place 2 months ago).
House Hunter is a pretty nifty little app. It offers up the ability to go into detail about property features and rate them. You can take photos of your specific house and add them to the address file. You can share all the info you’ve gathered with your friends and family. It leads you to the home listing. And, of course, the obligatory mortgage calculator is there for your convenience.
Once you rate the property the app will generate a score (how cool is that!). It allows you to rate things like proximity to work, public transportation, schools, parks, etc. You can rate the exterior/interior of a house, the kitchen, etc. House Hunter sums it up beautifully: “No longer do you need to struggle to remember details of each home you visit. No longer do you need to judge a house solely on feelings, but never quite sure if the home will meet your needs. House Hunter is loaded with features to help you make an informed decision on your next home purchase.” I love it.
There are two versions to be had. The free version, House Hunter Lite, has all the features of the pay version an allows you to rate two properties. With the full-on pay version, House Hunter, you can rate all the properties on the planet. It’ll run you $3.99.
